- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 ounces)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- 2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3. Add the diced tomatoes (with their juices) to the skillet and stir. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
